ALTA X

Industrial Workhorse. Zero Compromise.

Designed around large, efficient 33-inch carbon-fiber props with a 2.5:1 thrust ratio at max payload. Up to 15 kg capacity and 50 minutes unloaded flight time in a single-finger folding airframe. Auterion Enterprise PX4, multi-constellation GNSS, and full MAVSDK API support. Built and supported in Woodinville, WA. NDAA Section 848 / Blue UAS Cleared.

PLATFORM ENGINEERING

Built for Field Conditions

The Alta X carries large, heavy payloads over long flight windows while surviving the transport, temperature extremes, and vibration loads that operational programs demand. Engineering decisions are documented and verifiable.

AIRFRAME

Single-Finger Folding

Boom linkages fold to 877 mm diameter with no tools and no loose hardware. The folding mechanism stiffens the booms under load, maintaining the low-vibration flight characteristics the Alta line is known for. Pelican case-compatible. Unfolds and is flight-ready in under 90 seconds.

ActiveBlade Design

Freefly's proprietary ActiveBlade prop system reduces vibrational output to 1/5th of conventional propeller designs. Lower component fatigue, extended motor bearing life, and significantly cleaner sensor data for LiDAR, photogrammetry, and precision geospatial workflows.

PAYLOAD VS. ENDURANCE

Real Numbers. Real Missions.

Confirmed flight times from Freefly's published performance data. 2 × 16Ah batteries at sea level. Numbers are the same whether the payload is a LiDAR sensor or nothing at all.

ACTIVEBLADE TECHNOLOGY

1/5th the Vibration. Cleaner Data.

Freefly's ActiveBlade prop design isn't incremental improvement. It fundamentally changes the vibration profile of the airframe, decoupling sensor payloads from the harmonic signatures that corrupt LiDAR point clouds and photogrammetry imagery. Less vibration also means longer motor bearing life and reduced structural fatigue over the aircraft's service life.
